Nazareth Prep School – New Gymnasium / Multi-Purpose Facility

Burchick Construction is pleased to announce a contract award for a new gymnasium and multi-purpose facility for the Nazareth Prep School based in Emsworth, PA. The $8 million facility will be located on the existing campus, which resides along Ohio River Boulevard in the Emsworth Community.

The new facility will include a complete gymnasium equipped with restroom and locker room facilities. The new gym will house a basketball court and provide flexibility to serve as a multi-purpose center for commencements and special occasions. Provisions for the multi-purpose events will include seating for 300 people.

Demolition began in the Spring of 2025, followed by some preliminary sitework activities. Excavation and grading for the building followed, and foundations were installed by early Fall. Work on the large masonry foundation and exterior walls began in November and will continue through most of the winter 2025-2026.

It is anticipated that the building can be fully enclosed by Spring, with finishes and specialties to be installed by mid-summer.

Weather permitting, the current schedule is to complete the facility for an August 2026 occupancy.
