Burchick will once again be working in the Weis Federal Courthouse located at 700 Grant Street in downtown Pittsburgh. This is Burchick’s fifth project within this facility. The scope of this project will include renovations to accommodate new courtrooms and Judges’ chambers. In addition, new offices will be provided for the US Marshalls and Federal District Attorneys. A formal award notice has been issued and selective demolition work began in the 4th quarter of 2023.
Renovation work has progressed through 2024 and 2025. Several areas have already been turned over to the federal government for occupancy by various departments.
Work will continue into 2026. The project is expected to be substantially complete by mid-summer 2026.
